Spotlight: Knox Auto Parts
Big news from our team! The three Knox Auto Parts locations have now been rebranded as Aesop Auto Parts, marking an exciting new chapter for these long-standing operations.
Founded in 1995 by Joe and Tom Denton and their father Joe Sr., Knox Auto Parts built a strong reputation for quality, integrity, and customer service. The company grew steadily over the years, expanding to Nashville in 2015 and into Birmingham in 2018.
After joining AESOP in March 2022, the Knox team has continued to thrive as part of our network. As a founding member of Team PRP, their dedication to collaboration and excellence perfectly reflects the Aesop spirit.
We’re proud to see these locations officially carry the Aesop Auto Parts name – same great people, same great service, now united under one brand.

Sustainability in Action: How We Process Vehicles for a Greener Future
Ever wondered what happens to a vehicle when it arrives at one of our Aesop Auto Parts facilities? At Aesop, we’re committed to processing every vehicle with care, efficiency, and the environment in mind.
Each vehicle that comes through our doors is safely depolluted, meaning all fluids and hazardous materials are removed and recycled responsibly. Then, reusable parts are inspected, cleaned, and inventoried to give them a second life, helping customers save money while reducing waste. The remaining metals are recycled, keeping millions of pounds of material out of landfills each year.
Each month, our team processes and crushed approximately 2,500 vehicles, ensuring that every car is handled responsibly from start to finish.
This process not only supports a more sustainable automotive industry but also reflects our core mission: to make quality auto parts available while protecting the planet we all share.

Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) Convention & Expo
Last month, members of the Aesop Auto Parts team joined industry leaders at the 82nd Annual Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) Convention & Expo, held October 15–18 in Birmingham, Alabama.
This year’s theme “Game On: Winning Together” perfectly reflected the collaborative spirit that drives our industry forward. The event brought together recyclers from across the country to explore new technologies, share best practices, and strengthen connections.
Key sessions focused on AI in recycling, sales maximization, bookkeeping best practices, and the introduction of new certification programs set to replace the long-standing Gold Seal standard.
As part of the event, our Aesop Auto Parts – Birmingham facility opened its doors to attendees for guided yard tours, giving visitors an inside look at our operations and commitment to quality and safety. The tours were a big success, sparking great conversations and showcasing the dedication of our Birmingham team.
Our team left energized and inspired, ready to bring fresh ideas and innovations back to our operations. It was a great reminder that when our industry works together — we all win!
